This piece is all about the flow. I wanted to capture the movement of smoke, so I used some incredibly premium, highly-streaked blue and green glass that almost looks like it's moving when the light hits it.
The minimalist profile lets the textures do the heavy lifting. The pale, textured clear glass for the face contrasts perfectly with the bright red of the lips and the dense, moody colors of the smoke. It is a large, substantial panel, wrapped in a solid border with a dark patina to give it a sharp, finished edge. The shadows and refractions this one throws when the sun catches it are absolutely wild.
